Manifesting

I just learned something important from Summer McStravick (http://www.flowdreaming.com/) about manifesting. She said life is a "dance" between surprise and my personal power. I love that image! She also said that it is like going to the movies. We go for the surprise in story, but we get to pick which movie we go to.

I am picking a romantic comedy for my life at the moment. Comedies are light-hearted plots consistently and deliberately designed to amuse and provoke laughter (with one-liners, jokes, etc.) by exaggerating the situation, the language, action, relationships and characters.

Here is the synopsis: Jenny O is a capable woman—interested in learning about people, cultures, food—understanding the social world. She travels and does research in many places. She is laid back and fun loving.

Jenny is a part of a circle of friends—kind of like a Sex and City crew. They meet for drinks, brunch, they travel together—they talk on the phone—talk about the men in their lives, hopes, dreams and desires. After having a series of romantic mishaps on her travels—Jenny decides to through off the shackles of convention and have a man in every port she docks. In this romantic comedy Jenny learns how fulfillment can come in many forms and that sharing your life with one person may be overrated.

She also learns that while having fun there is a greater calling she is drawn to attend to. She starts to have clarity about her travels and her work need to evolve into something more productive, more creative. This sequel will be a drama.

Dramas are serious, plot-driven presentations, portraying realistic characters, settings, life situations, and stories involving intense character development and interaction. Usually, they are not focused on special-effects, comedy, or action.

Stay tuned for the adventure/little action sequel. Adventure films are usually exciting stories, with new experiences or exotic locales, very similar to or often paired with the action film genre. Action films usually include high energy, big-budget physical stunts and chases, possibly with rescues, battles, fights, escapes, destructive crises (floods, explosions, natural disasters, fires, etc.), non-stop motion, spectacular rhythm and pacing, and adventurous, often two-dimensional 'good-guy' heroes (or recently, heroines) battling 'bad guys' - all designed for pure audience escapism.

In this film Jenny O writes a novel about a woman who gets in trouble, fakes her own death and disappears. Jenny is excited to learn about these new topics. She is most excited about experiencing life through the lens of “living off the grid.” This is when her life will evolve into an action, adventure movie.
